What is the sole purpose of this blog? For starters, welcome to the 1st entry and congratulations.
Yes, congratulations.
Congratulations on taking the necessary steps to execute your plan, purpose and spiritual development.
Let me begin by sharing my motivation on creating this blog.
As a millennial, we are told often that we are trend-setters. We are the temperature changers. We have insight and advancements based on technology. However, we are often naïve, unstable and stubborn. All of this knowledge that we obtain, how do we use it? How do we keep our next generation from failing miserably by implementing habits and thought patterns that we have yet to rid of ourselves? How do we obtain that “American Dream”?
What is the American Dream?
These are loving questions that I had to ask out loud and boy would I go searching for the answer. I tried to find it in jobs that were mediocre, connections that were fruitless and thinking patterns that led me to make choices based on survival. In order to progress from where you are, you first have to be honest with yourself.
I always felt different and although I would love to fake it to make it, not here.
I cannot speak or give information if I have not crossed that bridge at some point in my life. I would assume this is why God led it on my heart to help people.
Being a server by nature doesn't mean that society will accept you for you.
That was my motivation. I went from job to job being told that I was either overqualified, underqualified or the fact that I was seeking higher education “concerned” the company that I would not stay after graduation.
Quite honestly, it was very discouraging.
You know that saying how your gift will make room for you? Well, unfortunately, writing was being depleted by school essays that I forgot what leisure writing was. It is basically a conversation between your finger tips and the reader’s eyes. What we believe about ourselves, matters.
I hope my words resonate with you somehow. If it takes a setback for you to get motivated like I did, then I pray that you keep glowing and growing. . However, my whole purpose is to ensure that even if you make the same mistakes I did or experienced the amount of rejection as I, that it motivates you and doesn’t cause you to sit still on your bum. You are not alone. We are game changers. We are destined to reshape the way things have not worked into workable, tolerable environments. Do not believe the lie that you are not qualified. Do not allow a “no” to cause you to feel fruitless. The right time will appear. Just stay hopeful and keep up the great work.
Believe in you!
