Welcome to yet another Aries Season and Spring Equinox!
Happy New Year to each and every single one of you.
With so many changes happening in our country, this blog entry will be a little bit different.
I know! This year in politics have been an extreme rollercoaster with a chance of rain while on it.
And trust me keeping a sense of humor during this time is important.
With that said I wanted to discuss the importance of growing your own food!
What?!?! Listen most people are not prepared for when life has its transitions or may feel limited on where to grow their own food.
I have included ideas to grow your own foods while in your homes especially if you live in a smaller space.
The importance of growing your own is so that you know what is in your foods.
Now and days we have no clue the amount of pesticides, chemicals or worse. Not to mention most foods are not grown from seed to store.
I believe as people, we should be motivated to grow our own. Especially with so many changes happening in our government and the laws.
Growing your own foods is not only a lifelong investment but it will allow your family to survive for lifetimes and generations ahead. Not to mention, our close neighbors, community and family would not starve, stay stuck in survival mode or lack the natural nutrition that nature has to offer.
With that said: Let’s list a few ways you can grow your own foods. Get ya pen, pencil or stencil ready!
Number one you can grow your own foods using your balcony or patio area. Doing this allows nature to assist your vegetation in growth with natural rain, sunshine and air. And by the way: sitting on your patio while you watch your garden grow is therapeutic. Matter of fact, add some lights and of course Citronella candles to enjoy a beautiful spring night. And Viola! You have a garden patio.
Number two you can grow your food using indoor Hydroponic systems. Doing this will require more patience and additional vitamins as this process continues. Keep in mind that your plants will need to be harvested or re-potted to continue their growth. Hydroponic systems are a great substitute for growing indoors. Just remember to invest in some neem oil to keep the bugs off of your new growth.
Number three you can grow your own by using an indoor garden shelf with lights and heating pads. This is great when starting your seeds in a seed starter tray. Just remember over time, your plant babies will need room to grow especially if you are growing mint.
Hope this helps you on your Garden Grow Journey!
